Review changes: check every edit before it goes live

You can now go through every unpublished change on your site, one at a time, with the draft and the live page side by side, mark each one ready, and publish only the changes you've checked. It works the same for edits made by you, a teammate or an AI agent.

When an agent can change twenty pages in a minute, "publish everything" stops being safe. Review changes gives you a proper look first.

What's new?

  • A review screen for unpublished changes. Open it from Review changes in the Pages list, or from the publish menu. Each change opens with the Draft and the Live version of the page side by side, on Desktop or Mobile.
  • Highlighted differences. Changed blocks are marked on the page, so you don't have to spot them yourself.
  • Changes you can't see on the page. A Hidden changes panel lists edits to the page title, search description, social image, "hidden from search", redirects, menus and custom code.
  • Mark it ready. Click Looks good (or press R) to mark a change ready. Ready marks are shared with your team.
  • Publish only what's ready. Publish N ready sends the checked changes live and keeps the rest as drafts. If someone edits a page after you marked it, it drops out of the publish until you look again.
  • Agents can use it too. Over MCP, your AI can list what's waiting with review_changes and publish only ready changes. Agents need the Drafts and publish AI access level (or higher) to mark changes ready.

Who is it for?

Anyone who works with staging, where saved changes wait as drafts until someone publishes them. Staging is on the Core plan and up; on Free, saved changes go live straight away, so there's nothing to review. See pricing for what each plan includes.

It's most useful when:

  • an AI agent makes changes for you and you want to read them before visitors do;
  • a teammate or client edits copy and you approve it;
  • a change touches things you can't see on the page, like a redirect or a page title.

What if I publish something by mistake?

Every publish is saved as a version. Use Undo right after publishing, or bring back any earlier version from Settings › History. Read how to undo a publish or restore an earlier version, or the version history release note.

FAQ

Do I have to review every change?

No. The normal Publish button still publishes everything. Review is there when you want it.

Can two people review at once?

Yes. Ready marks are saved on the server and shared, so a change one person marks ready shows as ready for everyone.

What happens to changes I don't mark ready?

They stay as unpublished drafts. Nothing is lost.
